MYTH: Fresh fruits and vegetables are always more nutritious than frozen.

FACT: It depends. Most frozen fruit/vegetables have been picked and frozen at ideal ripeness to ensure optimal nutrition and taste. If fresh fruits and vegetables have been purchased out of peak season or imported from a far distance chances are they won't be as nutritious.
Fresh fruits and vegetables can lose some nutrients if stored for too long, so try to eat them within a few days of purchase for the best bang for your buck.
All in all, most frozen produce is just as vitamin and nutrient rich as fresh.
