MYTH:  if you suffer from heart disease you should stay away from exerting yourself with exercise.

FACT: This is false most of the time, as people are typically encouraged to start working out within a two-week period after a heart attack.

Exercise has been know to reduce the progression of heart disease, and decreases the likelihood of a first or recurrent heart attack.

Recommendations ususally are starting with 10 minutes/day and increasing it weekly by 10 minutes until they are getting at least 30mins/day of moderate activity 3-4 times a week.

Walking, stationary cycling or swimming are the go-to favourites for people with heart disease as these activities can be done year round with little to none special equipement.
