Myth Busting Fact - June

MYTH:  You can boost your metabolism for hours after an aerobic workout.

FACT:  True!.... Well sort of, but the amount of calories burnt post work-out is not as much as you'd think.   Exercise Physiologist experts state that while your metabolism will continue to burn slightly higher after a workout, the amount isn't significant. On average you only burn about 20 extra calories for the day (which translates to a few extra apple slices per day).  

So think twice before you can eat that extra slice of cake or pizza because your workout boosted your metabloism; since it doesn't really count towards your calorie burn.
