Try the Activator Method

January 23rd, 2020

"Snap, crack or pop" are the typical phrases one might use when discussing getting adjusted by a Chiropractor.  Unfortunately these sounds or sensations can put-off or even set the fear of getting adjusted by a new patient.

But that's ok cause you're not the only one.  As manual chiropractic adjustments just might not be for you.  But have you ever concidered a....CLICK?  Better known to us Chiropractors or patients of our clinic, is the Activator Technique.  An Activator is a hand-held spring loaded device which some chiropractors use in replacement of, or in conjunction of a manual adjustment since the late 1960's.

The Activator works on the same basic principle as a manual adjustment by restoring movement to a joint that are either mis-aligned or fixated causing poor spinal biomechanics which leads to inflammation and pain to those structures surrounding the joints.

Patients who don't like manual adjustments will often accept an activator adjustment very well with little to no discomfort on their body's putting their mind at ease and allowing the chiropractor to deliver the treatment needed to aid the patients healing.
